National Star Newspaper, Honors Taraba Governor

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas has bagged the 2024 Governor of the year awards of the New National Star Newspaper for his outstanding and excellent performance in leadership

The award was presented to the Governor at the Aso Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel during the Fifth anniversary Public Lecture and award dinner, of the newspaper.

Presenting the award, the Managing Director and Editor in Chief of the New National Star Newspaper, Obinna Nwachukwu acknowledged the sterling performance of the Governor and described him as proud leader in whose leadership, a lot from the country find delights

He said the theme of the Public Lecture, “Strengthening Democratic Institutions And Electoral System in Nigeria,” was carefully selected to address the challenges confronting Nigeria’s democracy.

According to him, the news platform decided to bestow awards of excellence on some individuals because of their outstanding track records of excellence in public office.

He congratulated them and urged them to sustain the tempo as Nigerian looks to them.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Digital Communication Emmanuel Bello received the award on behalf of the Governor and said the recognition signifies that Nigerians recognized the transformative activities of Governor Agbu Kefas in key sectors of the economy.

The Taraba State Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Obidah Bitrus said the award is an honor to the state and not only Governor Agbu Kefas.

The Chairman of the occasion Amb. Godknows Igali, said the honors to selected Nigerians was a celebration of excellence, positive virtues and patriotism.

He urged leaders to continue to pursue excellence in all they are doing for the development and progress of the society.

Prominent Nigerians at occasion delivered goodwill messages, all centered on the need for transparent governance and restoration of trust between citizens and the government.
